Grand Bay Wildlife: The Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area has a main access point at the check station/education center entrance on Knight’s Academy Road. Hunting is offered for deer, turkey, small game and waterfowl. No ATVs or motorcycles allowed on the property. There is also canoeing, hiking, lake fishing, and wildlife viewing.
Annette Howell Turner: The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts is a regional arts center located in downtown Valdosta. With six light-filled galleries, the Turner Center offers a diverse selection of works by regional and national artists. Two galleries house permanent collections, including a 600-piece East African art collection and over 30 pieces of antique European Fine Porcelain.
The Center is available for private events such as wedding receptions and business gatherings.
The Center also has a gift shop with one-of-a-kind items created by local artists, including pottery, jewelry, prints, original works of art, note cards, books, stained glass, wood carvings and more.

Grassy Pond- Moody AFB: Grassy Pond is open to the public. Similar to a state park with cabins, RV sites, tent sites, group shelters, a recreational boat area, nature trails, grills and other amenities, Grassy Pond is perfect for the family! With major fishing areas, a variety of accommodations and activities are available for guests. Boat launch for personal boats, equipment rentals and fishing contests are also available. Park entry is FREE for DoD cardholders and $5 per vehicle up to six people for the public and $2 per each additional person.
Reeds Bingham State Park: At Reed Bingham, the large lake is popular with boaters, skiers, and fishers. Paddlers can rent canoes and kayaks to explore the water lily and tupelo tree lined lake. The beachside pavilion, picnic shelters and group shelters are scenic spots for parties, reunions and other celebrations.
There is an abundance of wildlife, including species such as gopher tortoises, yellow bellied sliders and indigo snakes. Nesting bald eagles are often seen in winter. American alligators are often seen sunning along the lake’s edge. https://gastateparks.org/ReedBingham
